Mission Statement

To give wounded warriors and veterans from all branches a chance to enjoy the outdoor adventures of hunting and/or fishing. To give them a peaceful place to take in the best Mother Nature has to offer. Being a disabled veteran myself, I know how much the outdoors can help you relax and enjoy yourself.

Warriors for the Outdoors is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on providing veterans and first responders the opportunity to hunt and fish for a wide variety of animals on quality properties for experiences of a lifetime.

Our team consists of volunteers, donors, and sponsors that share a passion for hunting, fishing, the outdoors, and the desire to enable our veterans and first responders to get out and hunt and fish on quality properties with people who ultimately respect our heroes. It is our obligation to take care of those service men and women that make it home and provide them with hope, optimism and motivation through hunting and fishing experiences.

We are an all-volunteer organization. Our staff does not collect any personal monetary compensation for their time. All donations received go to support the outdoor activities.

I got an offer to come try to get a hog and the first night this one came out. I’ve never used a night vision scope but this ATN X Sight was amazingly clear and did the trick.

I met fellow Veteran, Jimmy Bates, several years ago. We developed a relationship, eventually into hunting and fishing. Recently, he invited me to hunt on a newly purchased property near Kershaw, SC. We explored and baited fields and stayed overnight. I was fortunate to shoot a buck and have it processed. This was a special experience for a “city” boy who has not hunted much in recent years and an encouragement to a 73 year old.

I was fortunate to hunt with Warriors for the Outdoors on sept 20-21. It was so great meeting local veterans in the area and connecting with them and sharing stories at supper. The hog and deer I harvested was icing on the cake. Jimmy is a super good guy and is full of life and a fellow veteran as well.

Here is a list of things we do with veterans

Hunting

We hunt for Whitetail Deer, Hogs, and Turkey.

Offshore Fishing

We fish for Tuna, Dolphin, Wahoo, Snapper, Grouper, Triggerfish, Amberjack, and the usual bottom dwellers.

Freshwater Fishing

We fish for Catfish and Striper
